New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's soccer team faced off against New York University in its home opener on Randall's Island on Saturday evening.

NYU defeated Hunter, 9-0, to advance it's record to 2-0-1, while the Hawks sit at 0-3 to start off the season. 

Despite the loss, keeper Antony Simos logged an impressive 11 saves on the day against a top-team, including NYU's Arkan Tahsildaroglu who was last seasons Universtiy Athletic Association's leading scorer.

Junior, Conor Sullivan logged his first shot attempt in the Hawk uniform in the loss as well as Alpha Barry.

The Hawks look to score their first win of the season with another home match against Old Westbury on August 10th at noon.
