Bronx, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's basketball team fell to Lehman College on the road Friday evening, in their third CUNYAC game of the season.

The Hawks (4-9, 1-2 CUNYAC) got on the board first but Lehman quickly jumped out ahead. Hunter was able to climb back from an eight point deficit in the eighth minute of play to tie the Lightening 21-21 but were unable to stop Lehman's offense and trailed for the remainder of the first half, heading into the intermission 46-41.

As the second half of play resumed, Lehman quickly grew its lead to double-digits. Despite Hunter's best efforts, the deficit continued to grow as the Purple and Gold would ultimately fall 105-84. 

Despite the loss, Hunter produced an impressive 48 bench points compared to the Lightening's 30, led by Cormac Rielly with 16 points and four three-point baskets, the most on the team.

Starters, Casey Meyers and Luka Jakic added 13 and 11 points, respectively, while Jeremy Montrose grabbed a team best four steals in addition to eight points.

The Hawks return to the court on Jan. 11 as they host John Jay College in another conference competition. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Hunter Sportsplex.
