The Hunter Women's Tennis team dropped back to 4-4 with a loss at Farmingdale state. The Hawks played a long tough match but were unable to secure wins outside of #1 doubles.
Angelina Catania and
Mia Chan teamed up for an 8-7 (7-4 tiebreaker) win in #1 doubled.
Lily O'Heir and
Julia Aksamentova dropped #3 doubled in a tiebreaker 7-8 (3-7).
Anna Chapko dropped her #2 singles match in a 6-4, 0-6 11-13 tie breaker. She had match point in the tiebreaker but some terrific play from her opponent Natalia Fuchel prevented her from grabbing the second point for the Hawks. Catania and Chan also went to tie breakers in their singles matches at #1 and #3, but were unable to secure the victory in either match. The Hawks will match up with John Jay on Saturday at USTA, first serve is set for 12 noon.
