New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's tennis team dropped at 7-2 decision to Baruch in a conference match on Wednesday afternoon at the Columbia Tennis Courts. The loss drops the Hawks to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in CUNYAC play, while Baruch remains undefeated at 6-0 (2-0 CUNYAC).
Mia Chan and
Lily O'Heir teamed up to grab an 8-1 win at number three doubles to start the day. Freshman,
Julia Aksamentova, took the Hawks' only singles win for the day, knocking off Keila Pagan in straight sets (6-4, 6-4).
The squad continues their season on Oct. 7 as they travel to Ramapo College. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
