Hoboken, N.J.- In an intense battle at Canavan Arena, Hunter College faced off against Stevens College in a closely contested match up that went down to the wire. Despite a strong effort from Hunter, Stevens managed to secure a narrow 76-73 victory on their home court.
The first quarter set the tone for the game, with Stevens taking an early lead, capitalizing on their opportunities in the paint. The Puple and Gold, however, fought back in the second quarter, narrowing the gap and making it a closely contested game.
The halftime score favored Stevens at 32-26, but the Hawks came out with determination in the second half. The third quarter saw Hunter making crucial three-pointers and outscoring Stevens, bringing the score to 43-41 in favor of the Hawks.
