New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's basketball team fell to the Brooklyn Bulldogs at home on Wednesday evening in a 99-83 decision.
The loss drops the Hawks to 8-14 overall and 5-7 in conference, while the Bulldogs move to 3-10 in the CUNYAC. Hunter shot for 36.7% from the field and 30.6% from three while going 10-15 (66.7%) from the line, compared to Brooklyn's 45.6 field goal percentage and 39.1% from deep, while shooting 84.3% from the free throw line.
The Hawks held the Bulldogs to nine threes while netting 15 of their own, aided by a 14 point performance from
Ryan Lau in which he shot 4-7 from three while grabbing a trio of rebounds.
Cormac Reilly also added 14 points, while
Gene Propper netted 11. Reilly, Propper, and
Casey Meyers added three three-pointers each for the night.
Hunter returns to the court on Friday Feb. 10th as they travel to York College for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
