Purchase, NY- Hunter traveled to Manhattanville for a non conference double header. The Hawks dropped both games to Manhattanville who continues their stellar season, The Hawks drop to 11-23 overall and prepare to take on Mt. St. Vincent on Saturday at Randall's Island, on field 12 weather permitting.
Game 1 Hunter lost 8-0 with
Olivia Palumbo registering the Hawks lone hit with a double to lead off the top of the 5th. Hunter was not able to mount any additional rally. Tea Panagakos was tagged with the loss, while she only gave up 5 earned in 3 innings the Valents pitcher in the circle kept the Hawks bats silent.
Game 2 also did not go in the hawks favor.
Jessica Fowler collected the hawks lone hit in the top of the 1st. Johany Galva was able to reach base in the 3rd and stole second one batter later but again the Hawks were not able to mount a rally.
Alyssa Curiale was tagged with the loss starting in game two. Leah Dillion and Tea Panagakos all saw time in the circle in game two, with Panagakos going a perfect one and a third innings of work.
Hunter will host Mt. St. Vincent on Saturday at Randall's Island with the first pitch scheduled to be at 12 noon.
