Patchouge, NY- The Hunter Women's tennis team traveled to St. Joseph's of Long Island for a non-conference match.  The hawks dropped to 1 and 1 on the young season, looking to bounce back on Wednesday September 13th, when they travel to SUNY Purchase with first serve scheduled for 3PM.

Hunter had a tough start dropping #1 and #2 doubles before grabbing a win in the #3 doubles 8-3.  Lily O'heir and Julia Aksamentov remained unefetead as doubles partners in the #3 flight.  Angelina Catania debuted at #1 singles and prevailed with a 6-3, 6-4 win to tie the match up at 2.  Anna Chapko won her #2 singles flight win a thrilling come from behind 3 set tie break, 1-6, 6-4 10-4.  Freshmand Mariela 'Mimi" Pechalova dropped a hard fought 3 set 5th flight 6-4, 4-6, 6-10.
