New York, N.Y.- Hunter College is proud to announce the appointment of Quentin Moore as the new head coach for the men's volleyball program. With a distinguished career as a professional player and a wealth of coaching experience, Moore brings a dynamic combination of leadership and expertise to the Hawks.
A former professional volleyball standout, Moore's career spans nearly a decade with elite clubs across the globe, including stints in Trinidad & Tobago, Iceland, Denmark, and Germany. His accolades include multiple MVP awards, best spiker honors, and recognition as a top defender and server. Moore's experience as a player and team captain at Pfeiffer University and Eastern Mennonite University further cements his deep understanding of the sport and leadership.
"We are thrilled to welcome Quentin Moore to the Hunter College athletics department," said Athletic Director, Terry Wansart, "His global experience and coaching acumen will serve the men's volleyball team well. I am confident he will bring his enthusiasm and knowledge to help grow the program with our collective support."
Moore has an extensive coaching background, having worked with youth and collegiate teams at various levels. From volunteering at Virginia Union University and leading youth camps to coaching professional and amateur teams in Europe and the U.S., Moore has demonstrated an exceptional ability to inspire and guide athletes. His leadership experience as a two-time conference player of the year and a first-team all-conference selection will undoubtedly enhance the Hawks' competitiveness in the conference.
Moore holds degrees in Psychology, Social Work, and Spanish, bringing a holistic approach to coaching that emphasizes mental well-being and communication alongside athletic performance.
