Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Hunter Continues Run with 3-0 Victory at Lehman

Bronx, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's volleyball team secured an commanding 3-0 victory at Lehman on Thursday evening.

Right from the outset, the Hawks (12-8, 10-1 CUNYAC) demonstrated their prowess, taking the first set with a score of 25-16. Led by standout performances from Ted Kim, Onyeka Onaga, and Muhammad Al-Amine Mbaye, Hunter's offense consistently outmaneuvered Lehman's (7-12, 4-6 CUNYAC) defense. Kim's .308 hitting percentage and Onaga's .700 hitting percentage were particularly noteworthy, showcasing the team's efficiency at the net.

In the second set, Lehman attempted to mount a comeback, but Hunter remained resolute, clinching the set 26-24. Cooper Moran's exceptional setting, with 36 assists throughout the match, played a pivotal role in maintaining Hunter's offensive rhythm.

The final set saw the Hawks maintain their momentum, closing out the match with a 25-15 victory. With a balanced offensive attack and solid defensive efforts, Hunter controlled the game from start to finish.

The Lightening struggled to find consistency on offense, reflected in their .043 hitting percentage for the match.

The Hawks continue their season on Saturday at the Springfield Trimatch where the team will face Russell Sage and Springfield.
