New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's basketball team fell in a home conference game on Wednesday evening to Lehman College, 93-64, despite a strong showing from key players.
Hunter (3-14, 1-5 CUNYAC) was led by Donovon Cola, who scored a team-high 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Cola also grabbed six rebounds, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor. Enzo Caceres-Roussel contributed 12 points, dishing out a team-best seven assists to keep the offense moving. In the first half, Hunter kept pace early, with Cola and Caceres-Roussel combining for 15 points to keep the Hawks within striking distance. However, Lehman's high-pressure defense and efficient shooting created a gap late in the half, as Hunter trailed 49-33 at the break.
The Hawks came out of the locker room looking to rally, with Cola hitting a three-pointer and Jayden Jarret controlling the glass, securing a team-high 11 rebounds. Jarret also chipped in eight points, providing a strong presence in the paint.
