NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's tennis team remained unbeaten with a commanding 6-0 victory over York College on Thursday afternoon in a conference matchup. The Hawks improved to 8-0 on the season and continued their flawless run in conference play, sweeping all completed matches without dropping a single game.

Hunter (8-0, 4-0 CUNYAC) took both doubles matches in dominant fashion to open the match. At No. 1 doubles, Sara Novo and Anna Chapko teamed up for a clean 6-0 victory. At the No. 2 spot, Sara Contreras and Sree Kolla also blanked their opponents, 6-0, securing the doubles points over York (0-7, 0-4 CUNYAC) with ease.

The Hawks carried their momentum into singles, winning all five completed matches in straight sets without surrendering a game.

Anna Chapko earned a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win at the top singles spot, while Sara Novo followed at No. 2 with a decisive 6-0, 6-2 victory. Contreras was perfect at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-0 performance, as was Julia Aksamentova at No. 4 and Kolla at No. 5, both winning their matches 6-0, 6-0.

Hunter returns to action on Monday, with a deciding conference match against Baruch at the team's annual Senior Day. First serve is slated for 12 p.m. at the USTA.
