Three Hawks Earn CUNYAC Men’s Soccer All-Conference Honors

NEW YORK, N.Y.-Hunter College men's soccer was well represented in the 2025 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) postseason awards, with three Hawks earning All-Conference recognition following standout seasons on the pitch. Patrick Irving was named to the First Team, while Behjon Alerte and Conor Sullivan collected Second Team honors. Sullivan was also selected to the CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team, recognizing his leadership and character both on and off the field.

Defender Patrick Irving delivered an exceptional debut season, establishing himself as one of the league's most reliable and productive backfield contributors. Irving made 12 appearances with 11 starts, going the full 90 minutes in 10 matches. Known for his composure and field vision, he helped orchestrate Hunter's build-up play and consistently created attacking opportunities through sharp passing and smart decision-making. He finished the season with six assists—averaging 0.5 per game—and one goal, cementing his role as one of the Hawks' most impactful first-year performers.

Behjon Alerte became an immediate anchor in Hunter's midfield, starting all 14 matches he appeared in. He served as a central presence who controlled tempo, broke up plays, and disrupted opponents' attacking rhythm. While Alerte tallied one goal and one assist, his influence stretched far beyond the stat sheet. His consistency, physicality, and ability to direct traffic in midfield made him an indispensable piece of the Hawks' core.

Senior captain Conor Sullivan capped off his career with dual honors, earning Second Team All-CUNYAC recognition and a spot on the league's Sportsmanship Team. A four-year leader for the Purple and Gold, Sullivan started all 14 matches and played every minute of the season, anchoring a defensive unit that recorded five clean sheets. His versatility allowed him to impact both sides of the field, contributing two assists while providing stability and poise along the backline. Beyond his on-field performances, Sullivan's leadership in training, mentorship of younger teammates, and unwavering positivity were key pillars of the team's culture.

Hunter's trio of honorees reflects both the program's depth of emerging talent and the steady veteran presence at its foundation. With two rookies earning All-Conference nods and a senior captain closing his career with league-wide recognition, the Hawks continue to build a strong path forward.
