WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Hunter College men's volleyball team turned in a perfect 2-0 day Saturday at a nonconference tri-match hosted by King's College, sweeping Manhattanville before defeating the hosting Monarchs, 3-0.

Hunter opened the day with a decisive straight-set victory over Manhattanville, improving to 10-3 overall.
The Hawks were efficient throughout, hitting .378 as a team with 41 kills on 13 errors. Hunter improved its hitting percentage in each set, finishing at .435 in the third to close out the sweep.
Ahmed Mohamed led the offense with 12 kills on .400 hitting and added two service aces. Sebastian Gomez recorded nine kills on .400 hitting, while Eddy Kang delivered seven kills at a .636 clip.
Emmanuel Cochran contributed six kills on .556 hitting and added four service aces. Wesley Stubbs dished out 22 assists and chipped in five digs, while Lenny Arbitman added 15 assists as Hunter totaled 41 assists in the match.
Hunter also applied steady pressure from the service line with seven aces and controlled the tempo from start to finish.

The Hawks capped the afternoon with another straight-set win, defeating the hosting Monarchs to improve to 11-3 overall.
Hunter was dominant early, hitting .519 in the opening set and .500 in the second to seize command of the match. The Hawks finished the contest hitting .413 overall with 42 kills.
Mohamed again paced the offense with 11 kills on .333 hitting and four service aces. Kang added nine kills on .467 hitting, while Sebastian Gomez matched him with nine kills.
Cochran was highly efficient with five kills on seven swings (.714), and Wyatt Kotuk contributed four kills and two service aces. Stubbs directed the offense with 20 assists, and Arbitman added 10 assists and two service aces.
Hunter totaled 12 service aces and 26 digs while limiting extended rallies to secure the sweep.
The Hawks return to the court for another road tri-match on March 7 against hotsing Springfield College, followed by Elms College.
