FARMINGDALE, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's tennis team fell 7-0 on the road to Farmingdale State University.
Hunter (4-6) battled throughout the match but was unable to secure a point against a strong Farmingdale lineup.
In doubles play, the Hawks were swept across all three flights. The No. 1 pairing of Nicholas Cooper and Alexander Hagiu pushed their match to a tiebreak before falling in a competitive contest, while the teams of Odin Dibra and Savio Francis at No. 2 and Jason Parmar with Nicholas Douglas at No. 3 were also defeated.
In singles action, Hunter continued to compete but came up short in all six matches. Cooper led off at No. 1 singles, followed by Hagiu at No. 2, while Dibra and Francis competed at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Parmar and Douglas rounded out the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6.
Despite the result, the Hawks showed resilience against a tough nonconference opponent and will look to regroup moving forward.
