PATCHOGUE, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's tennis team defeated St. Joseph's University Long Island 6-1 on the road on Wednesday afternoon.

Nicholas Cooper and Alexander Hagiu set the tone with a 6-0 win at No. 1, while Odin Dibra and Savio Francis followed with a 6-0 victory at No. 2. The duo of Nicholas Douglas and Darius Armstrong completed the doubles sweep with a 6-2 win at No. 3.
Hunter carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches. Hagiu secured a straight-set victory at No. 1 singles, while Dibra dominated at No. 2 with a 6-0, 6-2 win. Francis added another point at No. 3 with a commanding performance, and Jason Parmar followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4.
Darius Armstrong capped off the scoring for the Hawks with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
