NEW YORK- The Hunter College women's volleyball program has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring 25 regular-season matches and a challenging mix of City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) and nonconference competition.

Sean Salomons enters his second season with the women's volleyball program after serving as associate head coach in 2025. Salomons also serves as the head coach of the Hunter men's volleyball program.

The Hawks open the season Sept. 8 on the road against Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York, before the team's home opener on Sept. 15 against Farmingdale State. Hunter remains home two days later to host St. Joseph's Long Island on Sept. 17.

Hunter then begins a stretch of five consecutive road matches, starting Sept. 19 at Manhattanville. The Hawks open CUNYAC play Sept. 22 at The City College of New York before traveling toMerchant Marine on Sept. 24, Saint Elizabeth on Sept. 26 and Purchase on Sept. 28. Hunter returns to the Sportsplex Sept. 29 for a conference matchup against York.

October begins with the Hawks traveling to Bronxville, New York, for the Sarah Lawrence Tri-Match on Oct. 3. Hunter will face host Sarah Lawrence before taking on SUNY Morrisville. The Hawks then visit St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Oct. 5 before returning home to face CUNYAC conference opponent Lehman on Oct. 6.

The Purple and Gold heads back to the road Oct. 8 at Maritime before competing in another tri-match Oct. 10 where Hawks will face Catholic University and host Wilkes University. Hunter returns to the Sportsplex for a CUNYAC contest against Brooklyn on Oct. 20.

The Hawks continue conference play at Medgar Evers on Oct. 22 before traveling to Montclair State on Oct. 24. Hunter will then host Baruch on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. for Senior Day and its final regular-season home match.

Hunter closes October with a tri-match at Stevens on Oct. 31. The Hawks will face Stevens at 11:30 a.m. followed by Rowan at 1:30 p.m. Hunter wraps up CUNYAC regular-season competition at John Jay on Nov. 3 before concluding the regular season Nov. 7 with a road matchup against New York University.

The CUNYAC Tournament is scheduled to begin Nov. 10 with first-round action, followed by the semifinals Nov. 12. The CUNYAC championship match is scheduled for Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hunter Sportsplex.
