Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's cross country team opened its 2026 season at the Fred Pavlich Invitational hosted by Bard College on Saturday morning.

Hunter was led by Leonardo Kaplan. The distance standout in both indoor and outdoor track, competed in his first career cross country meet, posting the best time among City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) runners as he clocked in at 17:56.4. Senior Harrison Abarca followed with a time of 21:33.2 ahead of freshman Saveli Radushkevich who crossed the tape in 24:33.2. 

Usaama N'Dow made his career debut, with a time of 25:03.5 in the men's 5k race, followed by Keith Sun (28:38.9) and Justin Panchu (32:36.6).

The Hawks return to the course on Sept. 12 for the Purchase College Invitational.
