New York, NY – The Hunter women's swimming team hosted their first meet at the North Pool in over two years with junior
Heather Alvord (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) winning two races, but the Hawks fell to Division I Manhattan College 56-38 on Friday night.
Alvord had an impressive race in the 1000-yard freestyle, finishing in 11:51.63, almost two minutes ahead of the Manhattan swimmer that finished second. Alvord then picked up her second win of the day in the 200-yard backstroke, tapping the wall at 2:16.43 with the second place swimmer coming in at 2:18.82.
