New York, NY – Entering today's game, the Hawks were riding a three-game win streak, but they were unable to extend it to four games as the Hawks fell 3-1 to the Devils of Farleigh Dickenson University – Florham in non-conference men's soccer action at Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island.
FDU midfielder
Brian Hurley (Wall, NJ/Wall) got the Devils on the board in the first half, putting a shot into the bottom left corner while the Hawks were caught down a man with an equipment issue. This would be the only goal of the first half.
Following a foul in the box, the Devils converted a penalty kick at 61:22 to extend the lead to 2-0. However, the Hawks would answer back ten minutes later with sophomore
Danny Vera (Orange Country, CA/Mater Dei) sending a direct kick over the wall and into the net to cut the lead in half. Then, just 36 seconds later, sophomore forward
Matt Kinsley (Pearl River, NJ/Pearl River) quieted the Hawks with a shot to the lower right corner, putting the Devils up 3-1.
Freshman
Konstantin Reztsov (Manhattan, NY/Forest Hills) started in net for the Hawks, playing 45 minutes with three saves and allowed goal. Senior

The Hawks fall to 3-4 on the year and will now look towards Wednesday's contest when they open up conference play, taking on the Bearcats of Baruch College at 6:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Oval in Flushing, NY. Last season, the Hawks earned a 3-2 victory over the Bearcats.
