Morristown, NJ – On the road Monday night, nine Hawk swimmers recorded season bests while winning ten of 13 events during a 67-44 victory over the College of Saint Elizabeth in a non-conference meet in Morristown, NJ.
Sophomore
Marian Wu led the Hawks with two victories, taking the 100-yard freestyle with a season best, 1:03.03 and then tapped the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:13.83. Junior
Carla Mendoza had a season best in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in first place with a time of 6:48.56.
Sophomore
Nicole Hracs earned six points for the Hawks with a 2:39.10 first place finish in the 200-yard I.M., while sophomore
Adrienne Baldassano took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.40 and sophomore Anjelique Retrespo was first in the100-yard breaststroke with a personal best time, 1:28.57.
The final three victories for the Hawks were by freshman
Gloria Reyna in the 50-yard freestyle [29.34], senior
Sasha Martell in the 200-yard backstroke [3:01.71] and senior
Carla McGregor in the 200-yard breaststroke [2:51.53].
Hunter, now 7-3 on the year, will close out regular season meets on Tuesday, January 27 when they head to Purchase, NY for a 6:00 p.m. tri-meet with FDU-Florham and the Purchase College Panthers.
