Riverdale, NY – Senior Heather Alvord (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) finished second in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard backstroke in a tough double-dual meet against Division I opponents Manhattan College and Pace University on Friday at home of the Jaspers in Riverdale, NY.

Alvord finished the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:22.97, which was 1.03 faster than the third place swimmer from pace. Then in the 100-yard backstroke, she finished in 1:04.26, over four seconds faster than the third place swimmer from Manhattan.

The Hawks now fall to 2-3 on the year, and will have a week off before returning to the pool on Tuesday, November 24 when they are scheduled to host Queens College for a 6:00 p.m. meet.
