On Saturday, October 16, the men's soccer team took on the Dolpins of the College of Staten Island in their final conference matchup of the regular season. An early Dolphin goal put the Hawks in a 1-0 goal which they would not be able to overcome. WIth the loss, Hunter moves to 7-6-3, 5-2-2 CUNYAC while CSI advances to 3-9-2, 4-3-1 CUNYAC.

In the 15th minute of the opening half, Lirim Begai sent a cross to Dong Luu who headed the ball past Hawk Keeper, Zade Haobsh to put his team up 1-0. It would prove to be the game winning goal as Hunter, despite valiant effort that included 21 total shots and seven corner kicks, could not respond with an equalizer. Dolphin keeper Ahmed El-Ghareib was very busy on the day as he came up with 12 saves, ten of which came from the second half.
