New York, NY - On Friday, November 11, the women's swim team hosted their first meet of the season against the Jaspers of Manhattan college in a dual meet. Despite winning three individual races and a relay, the Hawks came up eight points shy of the win as they fell 50-42 to suffer their first loss of the season.

Jennifer Dzurita earned the Hawk's first win of the day when she took the 200 yard backstroke in a time of 2:32.76. Briana DiGiore and Stephanie Benenati also won their events, topping the field in the 500 yard freestyle and 200 yard breststroke respectively. Capping off the meet was a Hawk win in the 200 yard freestyle relay, comprised of Dzurita, Olga Kovalkova, Marian Wu and DiGiore, clocking in at 1:57.20.

The Hawks return to the pool on Thursday, November 18 when they host the Bloodhounds of John Jay in their first conference matchup. The meet is slated for a 6:00 pm.
