Madison, NJ - The women's swimming team opened up their 2010-11 season this past Thursday with a dual meet against Farleigh Dickinson at Florham. The Hawks won seven out of the 11 contested events and outscored the Knights by a 54 point margin, 122-68 to claim their first win of the season.

The Hawks won both relays; the 200 Yard Medley to start the meet and the 200 Yard Freestyle relay to open and end it. Briana DiGiore and Jennifer Dzurita highlited the meet with each winning two events; DiGiore in the 1000 freestyle (12:48.77) and 500 freestyle (6:12.31) and Dzurita in the 200 IM (2:38.67) and 100 backstroke (1:11.64). Marian Wu was the other lone winner as she took first in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:22.12.

The Hawks will return to action on Tuesday, November 9 when they take on York college in Jamaica, Queens. The meet will begin at 6:00 pm.
