New York, NY- On Tuesday night, November 30, the Hawks hosted CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College in a conference meet. Hunter over powered the Bulldogs with five first place individual finishes and came out on top in the freestyle relay. At the end of the meet, the Hawks scored undefeated in CUNYAC play and picked up their fourth win.
CUNYAC Swimmer of the week, Briana DiGiore posted two first place finishes on the day as she clocked in at 12:39.99 in the 1000 yard freestyle and 6:14.05 in the 500 freestyle. Jennifer Dzurita dominated her opponents in her respective events topping the field in both the 200 yard freestyle (2:13.86) and the 100 yard backstroke (1:10.27). Senior Stephanie Benenati placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke, out-distancing herself from the field by over eight and a half seconds while the team of Tiffany Magno, Olga Kovalkova, Melissa Cruz, and Jennifer Dzurita ended the meet with a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay, stopping the clock at 1:58.38.
The Hawks are back in action Friday, December 3rd where they host St. Josephs College during Homecoming. The meet is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
