New York, N.Y. – Earlier tonight, the swim team hosted Division I opponent in Manhattan College. The Hawks managed to take three individual first place finishes and one first place showing in a relay, but ultimately dropped the meet, 53-39. With the loss, Hunter moves to 1-3, 1-1 CUNYAC.
 
Chryzl Goco led the way with one of three first place finishes in individual events. She clocked in at 1:11.09 in the 100 yard backstroke while teammate Melissa Cruz was second in 1:22.24. Jennifer Dzurita took top honors in the long distance event, the 500 freestyle, in a time of 6:03.75.
 
Christina Chu rounded out the third and final individual first place finish by taking top honors in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:23.62. Charlotte Collazzo notched a second place finish in the 50 yard freestyle event, covering the distance in just 28.25 seconds.
 
The quartet of Collazzo, Goco, Dzurita and Niky Wu combined to place second in the 400 yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 4:12.36.
 
The Hawks return to the pool on Friday, December 7 when they host Lehman College at 6pm in front of the homecoming crowd.
