JERSEY CITY, NJ- The Hunter College women's volleyball travelled to Jersey City yesterday to take on the Gothic Knights of NJCU in a non-conference match. The women dominated the court, beating the Gothic Knights with a perfect score of 3-0. With the win, the Hawks improve to 8-5 while NJCU drop to 3-5.
After going down 18-8 in set one, the Hawks rebounded back quickly and powerfully to squeak out the first set 25-21. The second two sets after that the Hawks continued to take control winning 25-9, and 25-12.
Sophomore standout
Paulina Jobczyk lead the hawks with 6 kills, 6 aces, and 5 assisted blocks while sophomore
Lucia Stosic had 5 kills and 7 assisted blacks for the day.
Senior libero
Karolina Krauze had 14 digs while senior setter Mia De Claro had 12 assists.
The Hakws are back in action on Thursday, September 27th when they travel cross town to take on the Bloodhounds of John Jay.
