RESULTS

New York, N.Y - The women's tennis team dropped a heartbreaking 4-5 loss to the Cougars of Kean University.  With the loss, the Hawks drop to 4-6, while the Cougars improve to 6-6.

The first doubles team of Shena Jospeh and Stephanie Ahwireng fell in 9-8 (8-6) to Debra Dress and Jaelynn Lee.  In the second slot, Angelina Usherenko and Sara Beck took down their opponents 8-4.  The duo of Beth Chapnick and Nastassia Chittumuri lost 8-5 at third doubles.

In singles play, Ahwireng won her second singles match 6-2, 7-5 while Usherenko won her third singles match 6-2, 6-1. Beth Chapnick won her sixth singles match 2-6, 7-6 (9-7) 6-1.

The Hawks are back in action on October 20th when they compete in the CUNYAC Championships.
