Women's Swimming Opens Up 2013-14 Campaign Against CSE

Morristown, NJ - The women's swimming team opened up thier 2013-14 season by defeating the Screaming Eagles of the College of Saint Elizabeth this past Saturday, October 26th 68-27.

The Hawks had multiple first place finishers, with Amanda Iken in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:20.903 and also in the 500 yard free style with a time of 6:21.66. Charlotte Collazo place first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 28.13 while she also took first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:03.09.

In the 100 backstroke, Chryzl Goco took first place with a time of 1:12.34 while teammate Christina Chu took first in the 100 yard breast stroke with a time of 1:17.13.

"The returning swimmers showed us they are serious about this year, with many posting great times in the first meet.  Our first-year swimmers are showing their potential, with some of them already posting lifetime bests.  I think we are off to a great season, and the hard work the team has already put into our season is already showing results," says co-head coach Scott Binter.

The Hawks are back in the pool on November 5th when they host the Cardinals of York College.
