Swimming Tops York, 55-24

New York, N.Y – The women's swimming team dominated the Cardinals of York College on Friday, December 13th, 55-24. With the win, the Hawks improve to 4-2, 2-0 CUNYAC while the Cardinals drop to 0-5, 0-3 CUNYAC.

The Hawks were spectacular in the meet, taking first place in almost every event. The 200 MR team of Chryzl Goco, Carla Canning, Lindsey Pero and Vanessa Zue took first with a time of 2:08.78.  Pero went on to place first in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:10.79 while Emily DiPaola took first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:40.67. Wu took first in the 50 FR with a time of 28.65.

Veteran Charlotte Collazo took first in the 200 FR with a time of 2:18.05 and also first in the 100 FR with at time of 1:01.22 while Paulina Backiel took first in the 1000 FR with a time of 14:32.59.

The Hawks are back in the pool in the New Year, when they compete against USMMA on January 7th.
