Hawks Soccer Improves in Defeat to Montclair State

Montclair, NJ - The Hawks posted their season-high shots on goal in a 0-4 loss to Montclair State on Wednesday, September 4th. Brandon Fiscina led the attack with three shots including two reaching the goal.

Hunter fired five total shots with three attempts on the Montclair State goal. Four shots came in the first period and the other shot in the second period. Hunter's Brandon Fiscina had two shots on goal while Joseph Gallardo Alzate had the other and defensively Emmanuel Aprilakis recorded a game-high nine saves at goalkeeper.  

Montclair State pressured Hunter by scoring four goals on 31 total shots. The Hawks were shutout by Montclair State with scores coming at the 1:47, 8:05, 73.50, and 76:05 marks.

The Hawks will head to Newark, NJ this weekend for the Rutgers-Newark Tournament. Hunter will face Rutgers-Newark at 4:00 p.m. on September 7th and Drew at 2:00 p.m. on September 8th. For more information on Hunter College Athletics, please visit our website at www.huntercollegeathletics.com.
