Union, N.J.– The Hunter College Hawks women's tennis team dropped to 0-2 with a tough 5-4 loss at Kean University on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks took #1 doubles when Olivia Fuhn and Janani Bavanandan teamed up and took the match 8-0.  Fuhn and Bavanandan continued the impressive play when they took #1 and #2 singles 6-0, 6-1.  In #4 singles Sarah Beck battled back after dropping the opening set to get the win 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

The Hawks were unable to continue the momentum and lost the #3 and #6 singles in tough 3 game sets.   The hawks look to counce back when they travel to Farmingdale on Wednesday, Sept. 9 with a 4:30 p.m. first serve.
