Kings Point, NY
- Hunter College women's swimming fell to United State Merchant Marine Academy on Tuesday, snapping their seven-meet win streak, with a score of 132-99. After the loss, the Hawks are 7-1 this season.

Alexandra Rubiano got a win in the meet, taking first-place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.51. Jessica Lou also took first for the Hawks, posting a time of 1:00.80 in the 100 yard freestyle.

"We had some fast swims, but overall they are a tough team to beat," said Coach Scott Binter. "We were able to challenge them, but came up short a few too many times with only two wins from the night."

"It was a work meet for us and the first meet coming off our winter training, so to see a few people swim fast times is encouraging, as I know they were swimming very tired."

Hunter will return to action on Friday, Jan. 8 when they host Baruch College at 6:30 p.m.
