New York, NY - Hunter College women's tennis fell to Yeshiva University on Sunday with a score of 5-4.

The Hawks started singles play strong with Janani Bavanandan earning a win at the no. 1 court with scores of 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. Angelina Usherenko defeated Yeshiva opponent Galila Shapiro at the no. 2 spot and Hunter's Catherine Ng took the no. 3 spot with a win over Andrea Weiss. 

In doubles competition, the team of Bavanandan and Ng defeated their Yeshiva opponents at the no. 2 court with a score of 8-3 for the only Hawk victory.

This concludes the 2015-16 women's tennis season as the Hawks finish with a 6-9 record.
