Queens, NY - Hunter College women's swimming completed a sweep of all CUNYAC teams on Friday with a win over York College, 92-38.
This is the third-straight year that women's swimming has gone undefeated in conference meets during the regular season after finishing 5-1 in 2013-14.
The 200 meter medley relay team of
Amanda Iken, Emily Dipaola,
Gabrielle Oczos and
Alexandra Rubiano started the meet off with a win and a time of 2:27.46.Â
Christina Valente earned a new season-best time in the 200 meter freestyle, placing first and posting a time of 2:33.64. The Hawks swept the rest of the eight events with
Kelly Xue,
Julia Mamone, Oczos, Rubiano and
Grace Huezo each taking home first-place finishes.
The team returns to action this weekend for the CUNYAC Championship meet, hosted by Lehman College. The Hawks will look to capture their third-straight CUNYAC title.Â
