Kean, N.J. - Hunter College women's tennis was defeated by Kean University on Monday afternoon at the Alumni Stadium Tennis Courts with a score of 9-0.

The Hawks start the season 0-3 and 0-2 in non-conference contests.

The Purple and Gold fell behind in doubles competition as each team dropped their match with a score of 8-2. 

In singles play the Hawks fought hard but could not manage to get a win, as No. 5 Donise Rose came the closest with scores of 6-4 and 6-2.

The Hawks will snap back into action on September 22 when they travel to Ramapo for a 4 p.m. match.
