Men's Soccer Falters Against Drew, 5-1

Hawks Fall to Drew, 5-1

BOX SCORE Madison, NJ - Hunter College men's soccer fell in their second game of the season to Drew University on Saturday with a score of 5-1.

The Hawks drop to 0-2 on the season after playing two games in just two days.

The Rangers struck first, getting a goal just 18 minutes into the game after beating the Hunter goalkeeper on the dribble. The Hawks were forced to play competitive defense, but could not stop the Drew offense, who scored again at the 33:11 minute mark.

The Hawk's goalkeeper Paul Tenfoung recorded a save in the remaining minutes as Drew led at halftime, 2-0.

Just four minutes into the second half the Rangers struck again to go up 3-0. Less than ten minutes later the Hawks notched a goal when Jordan Camacho chipped the ball past the ride side of the goalie from Arman Zamanzadeh to make the score 3-1.

The goal would not be enough as Drew tallied two more goals in the final 30 minutes to get the victory, 5-1.

The Purple and Gold return to action on Wednesday, September 6 when they host Montclair State at 5 p.m.
