Queens, N.Y. - Hunter College women's swimming defeated Queens College on Monday night in their annual meet, getting the win in close fashion with a score of 102-98.
The Hawks continue to be undefeated this season, improving to 4-0 overall.
The night started well for the Purple and Gold as
Gabrielle Oczos,
Virginia Anne Dundon, Hanaa Lacchab and
Ariel Tsai took first in the 400 yard medley with a time of 4:25.25.
Sera Knobler helped lead the Hawks to the victory by winning two races. The junior placed first in the 1,000 yard freestyle (11:47.74), before taking first in the 500 yard freestyle (5:49.13).
Ariel Tsai got a win in the 100 yard freestyle in the eighth event of the night, posting a time of 1:00.93. Dundon got another win on the night to lead the Purple and Gold when she took first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.32. The performance was just enough to pull out the win against the Knights for the first time since 2016-17.
The Hawks return to the pool on December 1 when they travel to Mount Saint Mary College for a 1 p.m. meet.
