New York, N.Y. - Hunter College women's swimming got a win in their 2018 home opener on Friday evening, defeating St. Joseph's College of Long Island with a score of 52-41.
The 200 yard medley relay team of
Alice Tsai,
Michelle Bzikot,
Gabrielle Oczos and
Ariel Tsai won started the meet with a win, recording a time of 2:05.95.
Sera Knobler then followed that up with another first-place finish, posting five points in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:06.40.
Katherine Lee got a victory in the 200 yard freestyle event, while
Virginia Anne Dundon took down the competition with a first-place finish in the 200 yard IM.
The Hawks closed out the win with first-place finishes from Hanaa Lacchab (200 yard butterfly),
Irene Collins (500 yard freestyle) and Oczos (200 yard breaststroke).
The team returns to the pool when they host the College of Staten Island on Nov. 9, starting at 6 p.m.
