BOX SCORE Kings Point, N.Y.- In a non-conference matchup, the Hunter College men's soccer team fell on the road today against United States Merchant Marine Acadamy, 0-3.
After what started as a slow first half, the Mariners (2-4) netted the first goal of the game in the 35th minute. The home team would tack on another in the following minute, which deflected in off of the Hunter goalkeeper,
Antony Simos. Although the final point would be added in the 52nd minute, Simos would finish the game having faced 22 shots and making three saves duringt his 90 minutes in the net.
On the offensive side,
Bradley Espejo would record the Hawks' (1-3) only three shots on goal for the night. Overall Hunter was out shot 22-11 by the Mariners in the loss.
The Purple and Gold returns to the pitch Saturday Sept. 19 against The College at Old Westbury. Kickoff is slated for noon in Farmingdale, N.Y.
