Radnor, Pa.- Following a tri-match Saturday afternoon, hosted by Cabrini University, the Hunter College women's volleyball team fell to 2-5 overall as it dropped matches against Cabrini and Rowan University.
Hunter faced a tough opponent in Rowan (11-3) for the first match, losing in three sets in the neutral site game. In her Hawks debut,
XinQi Wang led to team with four kills against the Profs. Senior
Justine Smith also put together an impressive stat line in the loss of 12 assists, six digs, and three kills.
The Hawks then competed against the home team, Cabrini (4-10), for their second match of the day. The first set saw a back-and-forth between the two teams but the Cavaliers came out on top, 27-25. The following set ended with a 25-13 loss, but the Purple and Gold battled back in the third. The squad came close but ultimately fell 25-21 as Cabrini closed out the match.
Hunter continues to look for its next win on Sept. 30 against Stockton University in Galloway, N.J. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
