New York, NY - The swimming team took part in a dual meet with John Jay and Lehman College earlier this evening in their final competition before heading into the the conference championship. The Hawks dominated the pool against both teams, coming away with two convincing victories, beating John Jay by a score of 71-21 and Lehman 77-9 to bolster their record to 8-3 overall.

Along with two first place relay finishes, the Hawks chalked up seven individual event winners to help power past their opponents. Che Rel Haywood was a double event winner, placing first in both the 200 yard IM and 100 yard freestyle. Inga Kulma, Ava Maffucci, Sarah Decker, Nancy Leal and Emily Reis were the other Hunter swimmers that topped the field in their respective events.

The Purple and Gold will take to the pool once again on Friday, January 28 when they compete in the first day of the CUNYAC Championships. First swim starts at 4:30 and will be hosted by Lehman College in the Bronx.
