Bronx, NY- The Hunter College Hawks traveled to CUNYAC foe Lehman and took home their second team win of the season with a 125-49 win. The Hawks improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference.
Hunter set the tone early with a win in the opening event of the 200 yard medley relay. The relay team of Gwendolyn Posner, Cara Chang,
Che'Rel Haywood, and Kateryna Titarenko, after grabbing the first 11 points the Hawks never looked back.
Hunter finished first in 10 of the 13 events in the dual meet. Sophomore
Kinsella Reis won all three of her events, finishing first in the 50 Free with a time of 28:41. Reis also took home the 100 yard backstroke with a 1:19:17, and as the anchor in the 200 yard freestyle relay, with a closing leg of 27:95.
Inga Kulma and
Heyu Feng took first and second in both the 1000, and 500 yard freestyle, winning the two distances races for the Hawks. Hunter returns to action on Saturday when the Hawks travel to St.Joseph's of Long Island for a non conference match up.
