Women's Fencing Wraps Up Season at NCAA Regionals

The Hawks had four compete

Poughkeepsie, NY - The women's fencing team wrapped up their season at the NCAA Northeast Regional hosted by Vassar College. The Hawks sent a contingent of four and competed in both sabre and foil.

In Foil, Aviella Holle led the way with a 41st place finish while teammates Pia Martinez and Jean Suh checked in at 47th and 49th respectively. Holle was the only one to win a bout after defeating Samantha Renton of Wellesley.

Caitlin Charles was the lone Hunter fencer to compete in sabre. She fared well in the first pool by going 3-1 with a +5 indicator which advanced her to the next round. However, in the second round of pool play, she was unable to come away with a win, resulting in a 34th place finish.
