Poughkeepsie, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's fencing team competed at the Vassar College Invitational this weekend.
The took home wins against Haverford College and were in close contention with Cleveland State University and Vassar College. Foil and Women's Epee took home wins against three out of six squads int Cleveland State University, Vassar College, and Haverford College.
With an almost entirely new squad, women's sabre lost to Haverford by only one bout.
Individually,
Katherine Hanin led the team with 11 wins. Freshmen
Kehinde Ayinde won twp bouts at her first ever competition, while
Victoria Klapkova helped bring women's epee to a couple of wins, while
Brean Tobin did the same for the foil squad.
