Poughkeepsie, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's fencing team delivered an impressive performance over the weekend, finishing with a 4-1 record to claim the title of Pool B Champions.
The Hawks' foil squad dominated the competition with a flawless 5-0 record, spearheaded by sophomore Brean Tobin and freshman Julia Stenger, who both went undefeated at 14-0. Gisselle Carino contributed to the squad's success with a 9-5 mark.
In epee, junior Katherine Hanin led the charge with an 11-4 record, guiding the squad to a 4-1 finish. Teammates Betzabe Granados (9-6) and Viktoria Klapkova (8-7) also put up strong performances to bolster the team's success.
The young sabre squad, led by Samantha Lin, delivered a clutch victory over Swarthmore in a tightly contested match, showcasing the squad's potential and determination.
With a standout effort across all three weapons, the Hawks' dominant performance secured them the Pool B Championship and continued their strong season trajectory.
