Garden City, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's swim team continued its season at the ECAC Winter Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center on Saturday and Sunday.
The Hawks started the day with the 100-yard butterfly where
Cara Chang led Hunter with a time of 1:14.00, followed by
Mia Chang at 1:16.27. In the 100-yard breaststroke, the Chan sisters also led Hunter, with Cara clocking in at 1:19.44 and Mia close behind at 1:19.51.
Mia Chang was also a stand out in the 100-yard free, with Hunter's top time of 1:02.05, followed by
Kateryna Titarenko at 1:03.92,
Gwendolyn Posner (1:06.97), and
Brielle Rennes (1:29.20). In the 200-yard freestyleÂ
Parvinabonu Makhmadalieva finished with a time of 2:19.22, as well as
Anastasiia Lyshyk at 2:35.66.Â
In backstroke events, Posner finished with Hunter's best time of 2:59.79 in the 200-yard, while
Hailey Quiller and Lyshyk clocked in at time of 1:12.25, and 1:15.00, respectively in the 100-yard race.
The Hawks return to the pool after the holiday break against USMMA and John Jay on Jan. 6.
