NEW YORK — Hunter College freshman Isabella Thumhart earned CUNYAC Softball Rookie of the Week honors after delivering a standout two-way performance for the Hawks across a busy six-game stretch.

Thumhart batted .529 for the week, collecting nine hits, four runs scored, three doubles, three walks, and five RBI. In the circle, she posted a 1-1 record with 10 strikeouts and picked up a save by throwing three scoreless innings to close out a 2–0 victory against Mount Saint Mary College in a split doubleheader. She also anchored the defense at first base, recording 16 putouts and five assists.

The Hawks return to action on Saturday, May 3, for Senior Day, hosting Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC doubleheader at Randall's Island.
