NEW YORK — Paige Witalec etched her name into the Hunter College softball record books this season, breaking the program's all-time record for career doubles.
Witalec has tallied 42 career doubles to surpass the previous mark of 40 held by Jezel Rodriguez, cementing her place in Hunter history. She also leads all CUNYAC players with 13 doubles in 2025 — a total that ties for fourth all-time on Hunter's single-season list.
One of the most consistent hitters in recent memory, Witalec has a .382 career batting average to date, including a team-best .440 this season. Her 176 career hits currently place her second in school history, with more opportunities to add to that total as the season enters its final stretch. Her performance this season continues to build on one of the most decorated careers in recent Hunter softball history.
